Internships

Browne & Miller Literary Associates’ long-running internship program offers interested college undergraduate and graduate students a comprehensive introduction to the publishing industry. Our program is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in the field of book publishing, and many of our interns have gone on to successful careers in this field.

For our program, we will only consider candidates who have both a professional and a personal interest in books. Interested applicants should be pursuing a degree in English or in a related area of study. Excellent written communication skills and analytical reading skills are a must. Prior experience in publishing is not necessary, but an interest in literature is. Some previous office experience is helpful. Overall, we seek bright, disciplined, and highly motivated candidates who are eager to learn and who genuinely love books and reading.

Our internship requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, generally for a term of about three months on a quarterly schedule, and is currently remote.
