Jane Jordan Browne Tribute Book

When Browne & Miller Literary's founder, Jane Jordan Browne, passed away in February, 2003, her husband conceived a fitting tribute in her honor: a book about the life of the woman whose life was about books. Mr. Petersen approached a handful of Jane's dearest friends, authors and former staffers and asked each to write a short essay about his or her relationship with Jane. The resulting tribute book offers a full portrait of Jane Jordan Browne, from her teen years at an East Coast boarding school through her heralded career as a literary agent. A lifelong lover of literature and the arts, Jane was a woman of tremendous integrity, a stickler for detail, a champion to her clients and a demanding teacher from whom several learned the business of book publishing. The values she infused into her business for more than 30 years are the values by which Browne & Miller Literary continues to operate today.
